What we do
At Fixing Factory, we’re fixing our relationship with disposable tech. In our first 12 months of operation, we rescued and repurposed over 800kg of electrical goods that were otherwise destined for landfill… and we have dreams to do so much more!
Based out of a bright orange workshop in Camden, Fixing Factory hosts numerous hands-on sessions to tackle e-waste from every angle. Whether you have an appliance that needs repair, or you want to learn the basics of electronics, or you just want to hang out with like-minded people, Fixing Factory has got you covered.
At our weekly Community Repair sessions, you can drop in and work alongside one of our talented volunteer Fixers to get your gadget up and running again. No skills required, we’ll teach you along the way!
Want to start up your own fixing factory, or just learn enough to feel empowered? Look no further than the 5 Weeks of Fixing course, run periodically throughout the year. Alternatively, our Future Fixers learning modules are delivered on a rolling basis - free of charge!
If laptops and gaming consoles pique your interest, check out one of our Laptop Repair crash courses, or join in the weekly Laptop Repair sessions for a more self-guided approach.
Fixing Factory also offers Project Night, an open session for all experienced fixers to utilise the workshop and it’s extensive equipment. Think iFixit kits, full inventory of spare parts, soldering stations, and a great atmosphere. All yours for just £15/month, or £5 per session.
For a guaranteed feeling of accomplishment and sense of community, or if you just don’t know where to start, then the RRRC jumble sessions are for you. Learn on the job as we rescue e-waste and give it a new lease on life.
Every repair job we undertake not only extends the life of your devices but also supports our mission to teach new repair skills, reduce electronic waste, and provide equal access to technology.
