Frequently asked questions about volunteering

  • Please check the relevant volunteering role for more details on how much time you’d need to commit.

  • We’ll give you a warm welcome and a thorough induction to help you feel settled and supported in your volunteer role. You’ll learn all about who we are, along with key essentials like health and safety. Depending on your role, there might be additional training to complete before you get started, but don’t worry — your volunteer manager will guide you through everything you need to know.

  • Please check the relevant volunteering role for more details on what equipment you will need.

  • If you want to become a Fixer, you can initially volunteer in one of our Administrator roles and then be eligible to take on our Future Fixers learning modules. Future Fixers is only available to long term volunteers, so you’ll have to commit some time to us before you can take part. You can read more about Future Fixers here.
